What if I asked Rickey himself to link himself to John Olerud, what woulod he say?
Rickey thinks only a Mets fan would think Rickey could not link Rickey with someone who played on Rickey's team with Rickey.
But he couldn't!
I assume you know this story about Rickey. When on the Mets, he told Olerud that he used to play with another guy in Toronto who wore a helmet on the field. Olerud let Rickey know that it was, in fact he who was Rickey's teammate in Toronto. You see, Rickey is about Rickey, and has no time to learn the names of his fellow players.

Whitney was actually a challenge. Finding a way to link him came as an accident. There was no way to link him on his official website that Rickey could find and then Rickey typed in his name and George Washington and found it. Rickey likes these challenges as catchers no longer challenge Rickey.
Awesome Blog! Rickey's definitely been around long enough to make plenty of connenctions. But, is he connected to Fred MacMurray (from Double Indemnity, one of the best movies ever!?)
